Economy's purpose is to provide our customers with a first class, low-stress project experience, with a focus on quality, safety, and reliability.
Since immigrating from his native country of Mexico in 1974, Salvador Pedroza has had a strong presence in both Chicago's roofing community and local Chicago communities for 40+ years. Recognized as a pillar in the Chicago Hispanic community, Salvador has received numerous recognitions and awards for his dedication to community service and leadership.
Salvador has served as a Board Member of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce, the largest Mexican-American Chamber in the Midwest, for over 35 years, also serving as President from 2003-2007 and Chairman from 2007-2015.
With over 40 years of experience in both community service and the roofing industry, Salvador is just one of the people that truly set Economy Roofing apart from other Chicago roofing companies.
Our humble beginnings trace back to the early 1980's when Salvador Pedroza, a meat butcher at the time, decided it was time for a career change. As a means to support his new and growing family, Salvador decided to give roofing a try. With the help of his brothers, a small crew of friends and neighbors, and a homemade kettle, Salvador began offering mop-applied hot tar as an affordable roof restoration service for flat roofs.
Driven by his desire to provide for his family and to achieve the American Dream, Salvador never looked back. From this small-time job grew a passion, from the passion grew a career, and in 1988, Economy Roofing was born.
